Mr. Bowman is a consultant in the field of aviation and marine accident investigation and reconstruction. He has extensive experience in failure analysis of aircraft structures, engines and component systems as well as marine systems. Over the past eighteen years, he has participated in over 400 aviation accident investigations involving helicopters, single engine aircraft, multi-engine aircraft, hot air balloons, ultralights, gliders, skydiving accidents, corporate aircraft, and transport category aircraft. Mr. Bowman is also a FAA certificated pilot and has over thirteen years experience in military aircraft maintenance.
Mr. Bowman also consults in accident reconstructions pertaining to small to medium recreational watercraft as well as numerous other types of mechanical systems.
Mr. Bowman is a member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
